Nha Trang Bay Management Board: takes the lead in reviewing the interdisciplinary inspection on the Bay

Interdisciplinary working group inspected and handled administrative violations for activities on Nha Trang Bay (referred to as Inter-sectoral Task Force on the Bay) established by Nha Trang People’s Committee in 2014 with The 30 members are representatives of agencies, departments and communes, of which the Nha Trang Bay Management Board is assigned to be the Captain.

On the afternoon of December 20, 2019, Nha Trang Bay Management Board hosted the summarizing the working activities in 2019 of the Inter-sectoral Task Force on the bay. The members of the Team are highly united with the report on the results achieved and the direction and tasks set out.

      By maintaining the inspection twice a week, in 2019, the Team discovered, made a record of handling and advised the People’s Committee of Nha Trang city to issue a decision to sanction 23 violations (fisheries sector). : 02, tourism service activities: 08, transport: 13) with a total fine of 136,150,000 VND; disassembling and seizing a total of 873 lobster trap baits (50kg bags), 123 strands of rope (8-10 m each) to create a clear space for the water surface areas in Nha Trang Bay.

The team has also done well the propaganda, education and dissemination of the provisions of the law, Nha Trang Bay Management Regulation, Dock rules, …; remind the Zones, Tourist Attractions on the bay and vehicle owners to focus on ensuring the safety of visitors.

Regarding the direction of operation in 2020, the Team will deploy a plan of inspection, handling more strictly and drastically for administrative violations on the Gulf; special attention should be paid to ensuring inland waterway traffic safety during the Lunar New Year and the New Year of the Rat; strengthening inspection of construction work to contribute to creating beauty, preserving and conserving marine resources and environment; continue to do well the propaganda, guide businesses to voluntarily obey the law, improve the quality of tourist service and advertise the image of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa island tourism.
